I am seeking recommendations for new tires for my 98 XC.
I am looking for all season radials.

    My advice partly depends on where you live and how you will use the car, but my 98XC is now on Bridgestone RE950's which are GREAT in the dry and the rain (I live in Seattle), but not so hot in the snow. The original Contis were better in the snow, but I use Michelin Arctic Alpins in the winter anyway.
    The responsiveness and handling with the Bridgestones is terrific.
    If you are looking for one tire for year-round use, including snow, of the three tires I have had, I would go with the original Contis. That said, I can't overemphasize what a HUGE difference dedicated studless snow tires like the Michelins make.

    Well...hate to do this, but the best tires I've had for a '99 XC have been the Bridgestone Taurenza LSH. Went through 2 sets of the oem model Continentals, then Michelin Energy MV4 and finally to the Taurenza LS-H. Everything the previous post says about the Bridgestones, I'd say about the Michelins -- couldn't balance them, poor straight line tracking, etc.

      andy,
      I realy wish it went so for my Bridgestones. All the research pointed to them being a good tire.
      I wonder if I got a bad set. I have had them balance 4 times in 5000 miles.It has been a pain. I have 16" wheels, I wonder if that makes a difference?
      I wondering shy this particular set is so bad, it is driving me crazy.
      I just hope I have better luck next time.

    Hi,
    I have Bridgestone Turunaza LSH on my 2000XC, I hate them.
    They wont stay ballanced and ride like...
    I wish I had made a different choice.
    I don't know what my next tire will be.
