It's that time again (A/C Recharge) 850 1995

Anybody have a picture of the valve (ps6)with the cover off. Two years ago I followed A/C recharge instructions off of the brickboard and it worked flawlessly. Last year I attempted to recharge again and I could not get the hose to "clamp down" onto the valve. Any suggestions??

Any help would be appreciated. It is going to start warming up in Atlanta any day now.

I had a problem with my connector the second year too - the little ball bearing on the connector that came with the recharge kit had formed a little rust and didn't want to move into the locking position. I would think any dirt in them would also cause a problem.

Also - be sure to check the pressure level - too much will also make for a warm AC

Sometimes i also find that it is a little tricky to get the hose fully clamped. Just use two hands, one to keep the sliding lock ring on the hose fully retracted back on the hose fitting while with the other, push down firmly so it gets all the way onto the car fitting, then slide lock down to end of fitting. It is just a matter of technique ;-).
