Brake noise S70

Hi all, I have just purchased my first Volvo and well what can I say woo hoo I love her sooooo much. Except for this little noise it goes like this, everytime the car is warm and I make a left hand turn with the brake applied (even very lightly)it make this grinding, shuttering noise and if you are a passenger you can feel it through the floor. I have taken it back to the car yard and well they are giving me the run around like skimming the brake disk and even the brake pad. Any ideas about what could be wrong with my baby? I have read thought the messages and people talk about the ABS,but my light does not come on. I am so lost and feel for my baby can someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Slimy

Okay after much money spent (by the car yard) it turned out to be the brake disk being bigger than the brake pad.......causing a groove to form and when I turned the car the brake pad vibrated on the groove. Very interesting so they skimmed the disk and put new pads in and well for nearly a week I have had no noise. My main worry is will the problem return? Has anybody else heard about this problem? To me why would they put pads smaller that the brake disk in the car in the first place?

How about without.............. S70

applying the brakes in a left hand turn does it still make the noise? If so....wheel bearing. If NOT, then it sounds like brakes/rotor. Your rotor surface should be nice/smooooth/shiney! If not your chewing up your rotor with flat pads!

just a shot...but check ur hub assembly...a faint grinding noise sometimes can mean the hub bearings are worn out...

Inspect the wear on the brake pad. If brakes are worn to point of metal to metal, you will likely new rotors. Don't let that dealership touch your brakes if they don't know that the rotor on a Volvo should be replaced, not turned. Doesn't sound like an ABS problem to me.
