Does anyone know of a website that shows pictures of the dummy lights and explains what they mean? One keeps popping up when I start my car and try to accelerate. It stays on until the car warms up all the way - It is a box containing what I imagine to be water with a fan underneath the water line. My manual does not have these listed. Whenever this light comes on and I continue driving, the car stalls, all dummy lights flash on, and I lose power steering. If the light comes on and I let of the gas for a second, the light will go off until I accelerate again. It only stays off unitl the car warms up.

Find an owners manual, it explains all of the "dummy" lights and what will happen if you ignore them. Your coolant level is too low. This is a serious problem according to the computer and will cause your engine to shut off. That's why all of the other lights come on and the power steering has no more power... the car stalls. Top off your antifreeze and there will be no more problems.

I think you have two problems.

Over time, the coolant level drops a bit. You can see the light flash
when you accelerate (you probably have a turbo). Once warm, the fluid
level is high enough to not trigger the low level sensor (fluid
expands in volume as it warms). Eventually, it would stay on all
the time. My 850 and S70 have both done this after a few years old.
There was no other problem associated with it, though.

I'd top off the coolant and then see if you still have the other
problem (I expect you will).

The light with the fan and the water is your coolant light, I would suggest checking your coolant level. The reason the light comes on when you accelerate is because the coolant moves around when the car is moving.

If you top up coolant be sure you know what kind you have. If it is Volvo C you CANNOT mix standard antifreeze into it...
