Spark plug and service manuals S80

Where can i find dervice manual for a 2003 S80 2.9 no-tubo??
Are the spark plugs under a back cove on top of the engine??

Where and what do you need to read the fault codes?? On my Caddy you can read them on the fuel milage indicator.

What other things do I need to do the simple things like change the cabin filter.

I have had the car for a week and like it. I am having a hard time finding service info on the internet.

Thanks,
Bill

Bay 13 is a great resource as there are no printed manuals. http://www.volvospeed.com/bay13.htm

A $25 years subscription to http://www.alldatadiy.com/ will provide you lots more info.

You need an OBDII reader. There are several to choose from since
the protocol and codes are now a standard. www.ipdusa.com sells a
reader as do others. The port is probably in the interior of the car.
On my S70 it is in the center console storage area under a small cover
that says "OBD II" on it. The reader comes with a list of codes. You
can search google.com on "obdII codes" for much more info.

    Bill
you can get the service manuals from the dealer or you can use VADIS.

the spark plugs ARE located under a cover on top of the engine between the cams. ALWAYS REPLACE PLUGS WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD.

general faults are displayed on the trip computer display, additionally, you can get a universal code reader ($40 from: harborfreight.com) and use the OBDII connecter to retrieve exact codes for the powertrain.

the cabin filter is located under the glove box just above the floor board. remove the panel under there and remove the 4 screws holding the cover for the filter. pull filter out (remember the filter orientation) and install new one. there might be 2 different styles of filter from the dealer, a thin one and a thick one. best bet is to bring the old one with you to the dealer when purchasing a new one.

    hope this helps,
    Al

a code reader such as this one will do:

        http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=46030

it's one of the cheapest ones i've found.

the OBDII connecter is just to the left of the steering column, near the hood release. pop off the cover and you will see the connecter.
