850 Rims, What Rims don't bend so easily?? 850

Our 1994 850 wagon has the stock rims. They are bent from driving on rough roads. I have not had this problem with my 240 after years and years of driving rough roads. Can anyone recommend stronger rims for the 850??

    I'm guessing from your tag that your 240 is a GL model which came with alloy wheels. Thing is, those were 14" diameter while your current car I'm also guessing (as it's a 94) has the cross spoke wheels which are 15". You'd be surprised at what a difference an inch makes.

    If your roads are that bad, get some steel wheels and covers.

    Well, any alloy rim has alot more tendancy to bend than the steel ones on the older volvos. But, i have a 850 with the turbo (star) rims on them. I had an encounter with a truck full of bricks a few weeks ago. I took a direct hit on the right hand side. Busted a hole in my dunlop about the size of a baseball but the rim stayed true, maybe i just got lucky.
