Fuel Gauge is acting up 850 1995

Every other time I turn ignition ON my fuel gauge shows Empty and the "Empty" light lights up. This is not very critical, but annoying - I hate driving with "empty" gas tank, even though I can rely on the trip odometer.

Did anyone see this? Is this is a sending unit? How hard/expensive is it to replace it?

This is covered in the owners manual it is normal for the gas gauge not to read sometimes after fill up....Never had the problem.

Hi : The only problem I have with my 850 GLT (1993) fuel guage is that sometimes when I fill the tank it stays at empty for a day or so before SLOWLY rising to full. Irritating. . .
