I am getting an Intellibrake for my car soon (finally), and I need to find some power wires. I need a 12v ignition/accessory power wire and a 12v when the brake pedal is depressed wire.
According to a wiring diagram a friend found for me, the power for when the pedal is depressed is a gray/black wire. I also checked the wire going to the light, and that is indeed the color of it. Does anyone know if it appears under the dash anywhere? And if so, where exactly?
Also, while poking around, I came across a red wire with a connector on the end not attached to anything. Are the red wires infact 12v ingition/acc wires? (That is what I remember from my limited poking around). And is there any good reason not to use this for the power I seek?
Lastly, for grounding, I can just put the wire under any screw that attaches directly to any of the metal frame, correct?

There is a conncector just inside on the drivers side. It has several power sorces, switched, unswitched. etc. Look in the manual. It shows where and the pinouts.

Which manual are you refering to?
Can you atleast confirm for me that the red wires are 12v ignition/acc? If worst comes to worst, I'll just splice into the brake wire back where it connects to the light itself and run that to the front of the car while running the other wire to the back.

I'm talking about the owners manual. It has the location and pinout of that accessory connector in it. If you don't have a manual, a dealer will give you a copy of the diagram.
