V70 washer fluid light wont shut off...help

i have a 99 v70xc and the windshield washer fluid light came on, so as normal, i filled it up, and took off. now...the light wont go out. i unplugged the battery even, no luck. i even tried doing the "service engine light" steps for resetting that, thinking it may reset this as well, and nothing. can anyone help me to get this light out? thanks

    More than likely the level sensor is unplugged, the wires to it have gotten wierd, or the sensor is bad.

      on this, is the sensor piece right on top of the fluid tank? i see some electrical sensor that is plugged in there. is that it?

        Little round sensor, two wires...yep that's it. On your reservoir you will have two washer motors (since it's a wagon) and one sensor.
