Right Front Window Problem 850 1995

The window goes down properly. When you try to raise it, after the first few inches of travel, the window tips toward the front and can't get all the way up without assistance. I removed the door panel to look for an obstruction or something but couldn't find anything.

I removed the window regulator cassette to examine it. Of course, I didn't know what I was looking for. The only thing that I can find is that the bar that moves the front of the window seems to have some play in it. I can move it 3/8 " and yet it seems that it should be unmoveable. It is attached to the front lift wheel 'slide' which is fixed in place. Only the rear slide actually slides in the track.

Does anyone know if this piece is supposed to have any play in it or not. It seems to me that when the window goes down, the friction from the window sliding through the weatherstriping causes the arm to be pulled up. When the window begins to go up and begins to recieve pressure from passing through the weatherstripping, the play in this arm could be allowing the front of the window to drop. This tilting happens even if the window is only lowered an inch from being fully closed.

Any idea of the price for this part?

TIA.

Don
