I need to replace all four tires on my 2000 V70, front-wheel drive. Not even sure what's on there now, other than they're the originals (77,000 miles). Got a flat tire tonight! Any recommendations for a good replacement tire appropriate for my car? Probably will go to a tire place, not my dealer. Thanks for any ideas.

Try Kumho ecsta kh11 if you don't drive in snow or change to winter tires; I have some on my '98 v70 awd, and they're good and inexpensive (I got mine at tire rack for less than $60 each.

Whatever tires you buy, maks sure you get a tire with adequate load rating for your wagon.

Definately do not go to the dealer. Unless you've got a dealer willing to sell at cost, you'll pay too much. Go to NTB, or a similar place that sells good name tires. My favorites are Michelin MXV4 pluss or some variation. Michelin Pilots are good, but not as smooth a ride. Dunlao SP's are also good, though will not last too long.

My favorite tire (and not so expensive) on these cars is the Bridgestone Turanza H/S...they also make a V rated tire for a bit more. Check them out on TireRack.com (and read the costomer comments and ratings for this and other tires) You can get them shipped to you in a day or so from them...and then take them to someplace like FreeService Tire and have them mounted and balanced.
