Can The Condenser Be Removed From The Bottom? 850 1993

I finally determined my A/C problem was caused by a stone or something putting a good size hole in my condenser.

The Haynes manual says the condenser comes out after removing the radiator and a few other things. I stared at the situation a while yesterday, and it looks like the condenser might just drop down without having to remove the fan, radiator, etc.

Has anyone done a condenser replacement on a 93 850 GLT? Will it come out from underneath without having to remove the radiator?

Thanks in advance.

It did with my 95 850 turbo. My recollection (not always the best) is that the Haynes Manual stated that it can be dropped without removing the radiator.

Good luck.

Don,

Thanks for responding.

When the new condenser arrives, I'll see if it comes out from below. It seems you would have to raise the front end of the car a foot or two.

I going to look for some type of screen to protect the new condenser. It's just a sitting duck right now.
