s70 power window driver side burned out S70 1998

got into car today, and was trying to get driver side window to go down and smoke was coming out of the switch. window went down but cant get it up again. please advise. how much to repair?

Same thing happened to me several months ago, except that my window was in the UP position! Had to change the entire switch assemble (costs about US$150 here in Singapore, probably cheaper in USA). Mine did not look repairable.

The same thing happened to me. End result, $250 later and a new module installed by my local dealer. Not much you can do on your own there.
