Sway bar links; a do-it-yourself job? V70-XC70

I have a clunking noise in the front suspension of my '98 V70 awd (59K miles). It's been suggested that it might be the sway abr links, which I think are a pretty inexpensive item. Is this a do it yourself job? I can't find any info on Bay 13 about this. Thanks

You can easily do them yourself. No big deal. I don't usually have them "clunk" though...they usually creak. A clunk is usually the strut cap.

Not sure if they clunk on the V70 but worn sway bar sure clunked on my 85O.

Changed it last week and what a difference. Hard to believe a bit of wear causes so much noise..

Same car basically, thanx for the tip. I guess we usually catch them at the squeaka-eeka stage.
