left turn vibration V70-XC70 1998

1998 XC left turn vibration from front end began around 50,000mi. The sharper and faster the turn the more pronounced it is and is felt in seat and steering wheel and is audible. Now at 80,000 with no changes despite 5 trips to dealership. New front wheel bearings, new tires, rust cleaned from rotor edges, greased endstops, and front end alignment all with no change at all. Dealer whats to replace wheel bearings again. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Problem solved.

What it turned out to be was the motor mount under the engine on the passenger side of the car. If you tell your mechanic to check this out and he says it looks fine make sure he checks it closely. Mine looked fine but my mechanic saw small cracking in the mount and when he unbolted it it fell off in two pieces. It feels like a new car and the cost was $170 parts and labor. Let me know if this helps.

I am also going throught the same thing with my 98 XC with 72,000.Vibration symptoms are exactly the same thing but I have to be on the gas. If I coast into a left hander it does nothing. Had a bad motor mount but that did not do the trick. Both local volvo dealers are clueless. Will let you know if I get it figured out.

Having similar, although not as severe, problem with my 2001 XC.
Volvo dealer seems to be clueless, but there is clearly a
difference between left turns and right turns. Noise is louder
turning to the left, and I can feel vibrations coming through the
accelerator and steering wheel. The problem is most notable around
20 MPH.

Please let me what what you ultimately discover/resolve. So far,
I'm not too impressed with the XC. Prefer my 17 year old 240DL. Next
car is not going to be a Volvo. They seem to have forgotten there
loyal customer base.
