we got a 95 850, inside the car as you sit in the drivers seat, dead center on the dash next to the windshield....is this little bump....looks like a pyrimid with round corners.....its loose..and got a couple wires attached to it.....WHAT DO IT DO??????

yeah its either the alarm warning led light,or on some models with electronic climate control they had a ambient sunlight sensor on the dash top where you describe so could be that.

that is the LED to tell you the alarm is set or off. if you don't have an LED there it is a blank to cover up the hole left in the dashboard.

sorta looks like an LED in this thing....but the only alrm on the car is the "you cant steal the radio" one...itsa got a red light on the radio that blinks all the time.....and who would want to steal that????

Are you sure there's no alarm? When you lock the car with the remote does the pyramid thingy blink? Or better yet, get inside, lock the doors WITH THE REMOTE, and then open one. Do you have electronic climate control? If you do, this thing also contains an ambient sunlight sensor.
