I am diplomat posted in Islamabad, Pakistan. I imported my Volvo S40 but there is no garage here. Last trip I made to Europe I brought all filters (air/oil/pollen) and sparkplugs with me and I just succesfully finished my 30.000 Km scheduled maintenance. One problem though : I can't locate the pollenfilter in the car. Could someone pls tell this amateur where to find it before I have to dismantle my whole car.

It's inside the car, under the dash, on the passenger side (right side of car). Check the Volvospeed web site for full instructions (lots of pictures).

It's usually located at the air intake for the HACV under the cowl on the passenger side. You need to remove a few screws and lift it up to look. You'll see the intAKe to the left of the wiper shaft as you face the car from the front.

SOME S40 HAVE NO POLLEN FILTER
