Electrical Issue S70 2000

Electrical question: when brake pedal is depressed, I often get a major static noise and the bulb failure light comes on. bulbs are ok, seems like a crossed wire. Dealer cant find problem? any thoughts out there?

First, do as Bru said. Check the ground for loosness, on both sides. If you replaced on of the bulbs, make sure you replace the other brake bulbs too. The trouble light comes on when there is an inbalence in the current being used. It is too soon for your car to start developing wiring gremlins due to heat exposure.

Can't give you a specific answer, but it would be worthwhile to get the wiring diagrams and while you are physically tracing the wiring, make sure that you clean and tighten any connectors that might be loose or corroded. Also check the relays and the brake light switch. Make sure that the connections in the bulb sockets are clean and bright as well.
Post what you find, to help the next guy.
Given the nature of the problem, you may cure it while trying to find it, but never know for sure which minor loose /dirty connector was the last straw.
