Won't start. Cam position sensor REPLACED! Help 850 1995

I had error 314 camshaft position sensor show up, while the car didn't start. I replaced the sensor. The car still won't start and I'm getting the same error code. What could be causing this if it is not the sensor?

The connector to said cam sensor could be disgusting. I've also had the wire to the connector for the cam sensor chafe through on that funky metal bracket that secures both connectors for the crank sensor and the cam sensor. I'd check there first.

Car starts again! 850 1995

My car starts again! I removed the ECU changed back to a stock chip and pow car works. I think it was a matter of the ECU needing to reset although I had removed the error codes the ECU still thought the CPS was bad.
Needless to say the car is working.

I will switch back to the performance chip to see that things are still working with that as well.

Thanks for all the tips and advice.

I will be checking the connector tonight. I noticed that the female connector, (on car, not on sensor) had some electrical tape around the base where the wires and connector meet. I hope to find something there if not I have not clue.
