Is there a relay for the central locking mechanism or somthing?? I picked up a cheap 850 remote and I do the ignition dance, 5 or 6 turns from off to on never starting the engine, yet the alarm light on the dash never glows or gets ready to take the signal from the fob. The key does activate the alarm and it does work but I can't seem to get the alarm in the ready to accept mode for the fob.

Any help on this is truly appreciated?? Yup I have searched the archives! :)

CJ I emailed you a troubleshooting guide from the shop manual, it has the location of the relay and some helpful crap to help you fix your system.

I knew the alarm was confused but I didn't know where the relay was located. So I unplugged it for a few minutes .. man what an effort to get it out.. plugged it back in .. performed the programming dance adn viloa ..its working like it should ..but what a lousy horn! LOL :)
