S60 Roof rattle S60 2002

I have a something loose in my S60's roof/ceiling that rattles when I hit a bump or just when I'm driving. The dealer says that he'll have to remove the whole roof lining to resolve the problem. When I tap the ceiling I can also hear it. Any thoughts as to the cause?

Sorry, I've just had quite a few with sunroofs that had that problem. More than likely the central retaining clip in the headlining has broken since there is a service bulletin on that as well.

SB 85-0032-0104; describes the replacement of the central retaining clip in the headlining. Unless you have too many miles for warranty to apply, this should be a warranty item, as well.
