Programing the keyless remotes 96 850 T5R 850 1996

I tried to reprogram the keyless remotes by turning the key to the II position while the car doors are closed and did it 5 times and then pressed the button on the keyless remote only to find out that I can now only lock the car and the other keyless remote that did work isn't working any more.....some one please help me on this one. the one that isn't working was my wifes and she hot because I messed it up....I'm hoping someone can help me pull through this one...Or I might be sleeping in here with the computer.....for a loooonnnggg time...

Since I just did this myself, I experienced the same problem.
But, you need to remember that you are programming the car to accept
the remote not vice versa... therefore EACH REMOTE needs to have
its button pressed after turning the ignition key 5 times. I
think it will accept up to 3 remotes this way.

Mine worked like a charm.

Since you are programming the car to accept the remote's signal you have to have all the remotes you want the car to use available. Once in programming mode you've cleared what remotes the car knows about and have to press a button on each remote you have or the car will not accept their signal. You only have a few seconds to do this so don't be slow!

I would do it again with hers, and I think you will find that hers will work. Just a note....The car gets programmed to the remote, not the remote to the car..
