2001 V70 T5 vs 1998 V70

First time user, LONG time Volvo driver! I currently drive a clean V70 non-turbo. Looking toward a '01 T5 wagon, manual trans. Anybody out there have problems to report? My mechanic has always told me to stay away from Volvo turbos. Love my '98, but a chance to buy a killer car with all upgrades, HELP!

I wonder why your mechanic would say that. The Volvo turbos are one of the most reliable parts of the car. Very few problems to report.

The turbocharger and turbo motor are the best (and strongest) parts of the car! So if you're not put off by the AC, the brakes, the DBW system, and the electrical gizmos....

The '98 T5 is quicker than the '01 T5, because it is lighter.
