PNP switch/A-1 socket question V70-XC70 1999

I just purchased 99 V70XC with 111K on the clock last night. On my 70 mile drive home from the used car lot I bought it from, up arrow began flashing and check engine light came and car entered "limp home". After reading posts on this board, this apparently indicates PNP switch, but I need to check the code for a 313. I plan on going to AutoZone to have the codes checked, but I want to have as much info as possible before proceeding. Here is my question:

Where is the A-1 diagnositc socket?

    Last year for A-1 socket was 1995.OBD|| socket next to your left knee ,but VADIS is needed to fault trace,highly unlikley it's 313 probably speed sensor fault.These cars change rapidly year to year it's not always the same fault. experttech

    you don't have one, you have an OBD II connector socket, which is in the compartment area of the arm rest, under a plastic cover.

    You can't check your A1 socket. Your's is a true OBD II set up. Sorry.
