DIGITAL CLOCK/TEMP READOUT PROBLEMS 850 1994

Hi all....
I have two cars with two similar problems. First, my '94 850 sedan which has the digital clock/temp under the speedo is set to read 12 hour and in F degrees mode. The temp is reading about 15 to 20 degrees higher than what it really is outside no matter how long the car is on. Second, my '95 850 sedan which has the same setup is reading the display in cryptic form. By that I mean not all the numbers are complete and look broken up. Anyone else with these problems....I know they aren't acute, but just anoying. The '94 has 65K miles and the '95 has 95K miles, and I'm the second owner of both.

Thanks in advance.

The temperature sensor is only accurate at road speed. I find mine to be very accurate to what they are telling me on the radio and what I see on neon signs.
Regarding your cryptic problem, try re-setting the display, or switching between display modes. If the problem persists, you may have a faulty LCD.

To change the clock and temperature displays push the Hour and Minute buttons simultaneously until you get the reading you want. Pres 1st time = 12 hr clock and F temp; 2nd = 24 clock and F; 3rd = 12 hr clock and C temp; and 4th= 24hr clock and C temp. See page 1:11 in the manual
