Help!!
I have alot of error messages on my dash.
STC needs service, abs needs service, transmisson needs service, the service light, stop the car brake failure Imminent, emmission needs service and sometimes, gas cap loose.
Other than the service light, they come on when they feel like it. Sometimes one, two, three and four at a time. Sometimes none of them come on for a week. I'm going nuts. The reason is, one: the transmission just had a fluid and filter changed less than 6 months ago, Two: just had the brakes done 2 weeks ago, Three: just had the steering rack replaced and new software installed last week. I have put almost $4,000.00 in the car in the last 6 months. It only has 74,000 miles on it. The dealer said bring it in and we'll test it. So I brought it in and after clearing the codes and no codes came on during the test drive they declared the car OK, that was $200.00 for diagnostic time. But suprise, the next day the codes started showing up again. They said bring it in and leave it with us for a day or two, we'll keep testing it, at 85 an hour.
So if anybody has any suggestions, please, please HELP. Oh I just failed the sticker test in Ma, because now the state's computer talks to my computer and if there is any failure messages it fails your car.
This is a 1999, S80 T6.
Thanks Craig

I had the same problem and rather than replacing ($$$$) the ABS/STC Control module I sent it in to be REPAIRED ($$) by Victor Rocha. My 99 S80 2.9 has never run better and is once again a joy to drive (even @ 106,000 miles).

Here is the link:

http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha
Victor Rocha's email is vicrocha@earethlink.net.
Read the FAQ's.

Took me 30 minutes to remove (following the detailed instructions on his web page) and 20 minutes to reinstall the repaired unit. E5 torx socket needed to remove ABS module fasteners. If you decide to give it a go, be mindful of the brake line tube assemblies while reaching the top corner fastener - DO NOT BEND the tube line(s)! I had to use a pair of vise grips to turn the socket as the ratchet head was too large.

Search his last name on brickboard.com for other references. Victor's service is very fast, I highly recommend it. The part is OEM only and the local dealer quoted over $650 for a new unit (not installed). Good luck!

I have a 99 S-80 and had the same problem. Replaced the ABS Control Module and haven't had a problem since.
