1996 855 M56 reverse light switch

Has anyone experienced their manual tranny 850 reverse (back up light) switch take a dump???

The switch is about $18, it doesn't look TOO difficult....but and tips, etc??

      Done, fun and easy job. Works great too.

      The old switch does work, but only when FULLY depressed. I noticed the new one is of slightly different construction (Made in Italy) and actuation force.
