I have a 96 850 GLT Non-turbo and am trying to determine if I have an air pump. I was told that it is located under the air filter, but don't think that sounds correct. Can someone please tell me where the air pump is located and how to identify it.

It is located under the battery tray. Look for a hose coming from the air filter box going down under the battery tray. Hose is about 1" diameter. The hose conects to the air pump.

Mounted on the firewall side of the engine would be avertical pipe with what looks like a mushroom exiting from the side would be a soft hose that heads for the battery.
