After months of being at a statistical dead heat, a recent Time magazine poll shows that Bush has moved ahead of Kerry. Some sources say by 10 points or more. This is perhaps the most significant thing that has happened in months.

Why do you think that Kerry got no bounce from his convention, while Bush has jumped out in front? Is it the message of the Swift Boat ads? or was it Arnold's convention speech? Or something else?

But of course there is lots of time left and anything could happen.

    Yeah, right, I sure want to see a "kinder, gentler" war on terror!



    I've been unemployed since the middle of Clinton's second term ... and making the most money of my entire life. Typical "Third Wave" stuff Toffler predicted years ago. (Look it up.)

    My daughter, sometimes proving to be less-than-entirely-gifted in spite of her 1520 SAT and a 4.0 GPA at one of the "Elite Northeastern" colleges, only began looking for a summer job 2 weeks after her summer vacation started, and has done this for the last two summers.

    She still found jobs both times. (In clean, safe, well-lighted places and exactly the hours she wanted).

    Just ride the wave. Don't try to fight it. You'll drown.

    Our country is in a world of hurt if Bush is reelected.

    Bush sucks..in my opinion.

    Kerry isn't much better.

    We need someone worth putting into office.

      In SW Ohio, in my town of Hamilton (where the No Child Act was signed in 2002) our economy now resembles a third world country. We have no living wage jobs and just rich and poor - nothing else - no middle class. All jobs are politically gained and if you are out of the loop, forget it. The republican party countrols Butler County with an iron fist - 3-1 ratio of registered rep vs dems. Most moved north out of Cincy to escape the riots a few years back. I have two master's degrees gained in the 90s and can't even find a decent job for almost 2 years! No health insurance for the last 4 years. And I was a registered republican for over 12 years because you can't even gain any position without listing yourself as republican - they check the registered voter list! I ran for local office three time - once as an independent.

      Bush has been a total disaster on the economy and should be run out of office in New York minute. I noted that Gov, Arnold stated that those who think are economy is bad are girly men - well we got a lot of those in Ohio! Count me in as girly man voting for Kerry! Thanks for letting me vent on the board!

        Wow - I thought your country was 'the land of the free home of the brave' or whatever the saying goes. That's incredible that getting a job depends on who you have voted for in the past.
