Well I just had my CMP sensor replaced arg, but the dealership did fix my computer so I can pull error codes off again, and now I'm getting a check engine light from A-6 code 1-4-3 , missing or faulty knock sensor. The dealership wants too much for that, and the car seems to be driving fine. Is it necessary? Or can I just ignore it since the light comes on once every 4 -6 days. Thanks

I just replaced mine a couple of weeks ago on my V70. There is no comparison to the car's performance in limp-home mode, than when the CE light is off... like day and night.

No don't do it I replace mine and it come back 2 week later .. I do a up grade kit and it do not solve the problem.

as we all know 93,94 have computer problem...

just live with it....

You ar3e not going to like the drivability when the knock sensor decides to stop working all together. Get you budget in line for a new one, you will need it soon. BTW, are you using good gas so the knock sensor doesn't have to do any work?

I only use BP / Amaco / Cheveron / occasionally Texaco gas, usually 87 (93 for long trips). I NEVER fill up QT or Racetrack crap.
