Hello Everyone,

I have a 1996 850 GLT Wagon, non-turbo with a 5 speed manual and with about 150,000 miles on the clock. Recently, after I fill up the car with gas, the "Low on Gas Light" comes on. It will stay on, until I turn off the engine and re-start it. Then the light goes out? Any suggestions as to what is causing this? Thanks to all who respond in advance.

When you gas the car, is the engine off? If not, it should be.

I would take your car to an auto store that will check your alternator for free, they can only check it while it is installed the car. It sounds like it could be an alternator going bad, at least that what happen when my 94 855 T alternator bag a few weeks ago, good luck
