Brake Pad Replacement S70 1998

About ready to replace the front pads on s70 - for the third time. I am sick of the heavy dust build up from the volvo pads, but havent found any other pad that wont squeak so I have stuck with Volvo OEM. Anyone have good experience with other / cleaner brake pads that will not squeak?

Thanks

Try PBR Deluxe - not as hard as the metallics - and dont' put off any dust, and rarely make noise, if you put paste on the back of the pad. It's mystery to me why anyone would put something other than PBR Deluxe pads on a car. This of course assumes that they are available for your car.

I used front pads purchased from ipdusa.com on my '98 S70. Much less dust and no noise whatsoever. I applied a liberal coat of vibration-absorbing paste to the back of the pads before installing them.

I am happy with the PBR Metal Masters. There is some dusting, but much better than OEM and much easier to clean.

However, they can squeak slightly at low speeds and make some grrrr noises at low speeds.

Your pick.

Had PRBs on a 1994 855. Little dust. A lot of rear noise. Both front and rear glazed. IPD nows says the only way to assure that they will work correctly is to replace the disk at the same time. Had better luck with Textar. A little more dust but much better overall.
