ABS Module Rebuilt - beware of wiring 850

All,

Those having problems with their ABS controller should take heed of the solution offered by Victor Rocha. I have suffered with the intermittant ABS light for about two years and finally sent my ABS module to him. The repair was performed exactly as he advertises and the turn around time was excellent! When reinstalled the unit performed as promised. The price ain't bad compared to the Volvo shop either. Thank you, Victor.

PLEASE NOTE!

Inspect your power connector to the ABS motor, mine was crumbling! Do this before repairing your ABS unit, since you may need to repair the wiring and it it is difficult to get to. A decaying wiring harness brings back memories to many owners of 1982-1986 Volvo 240's with biodegradable wiring harnesses in the engine compartment. I was shocked to see the insulation on the wiring peeling off. Take a look at yours. I had to chase it backi into the plastic cover for the motor thing. I repaired mine with electrical tape applied carefully. Seems to work.
