Hello:

Just got my 2001 S60 and I'm wondering how they perform in winter in terms of cabin heating, starting, and handling. Located in Winnipeg, Canada. No cold jokes please :)

Sorry, I can't help re your first 2 questions, though if it is anything like my S70, my 745 or my former 940, the answer is brilliantly.

Regarding your last question the answer lies as much if not more in the tires than in the car. A good set of Nokian Hakkapeliitas (sp) for example, studded if allowed by local law, will get you through anything, with ease.
