Oil Leak S70 1998

My 1998 S-70 started leaking oil from the oil cooling pan(?) Black plastic elongated; front bottom next to the radiator. There is a small hole in the pan, it appears it is suppose to be there. Anyone have similar problem? Discovered it while changing gasket on turbo oil return line. Thanks for the help.

If you are seeing the weep hole in the intercooler bottom, that's normal and will drip a little. It is there to drain concensed water and oil from the intercooler.

This "leak" seems to be abnormal amount of oil. Could it possibly a problem with the intercooler?

If you clean up the area and it continues to leak a lot, the problem is not the intercooler. The oil has to be getting into the intake air. Two possibilities are;
Oil fumes condensing from crankase blowby. And, secondly, turbo seal leak on intake side.
If you remove the oil cap while running are lots of fumes coming out?

When I changed the turbo return gasket, the turbo did appear to have a bit of oil present higher up than I would expect from the line gasket leak. If the turbo seal is bad, can I just change the seal or will I need a new turbo? The car is running fine; the turbo does not appear to be "malfunctioning". Thank you very much for good advice.
