Polished aluminum head today

As I'm fast approaching 200K, thought i'd make the car look better than it ever did before. I started cleaning the intake manifold with my dremel and ended up polishing the whole head and manifold heat sheild. Wet sanding with 2000 grit finally made it shine like chrome.

Thanks, there are a couple of plastic products, IPD sell something like what I used which makes any faded piece look dark. Stay away from ArmorAll type products which are dirt magnets

NICE!! what did you use on the dremal to get into the crevices and nooks? Also, what sort of buffer or compound did you use, if any?

That looks great!!!

The dremmel extentions wer wire bristle small/large as well as jewelery brushes (I don't own jewelery) Wood block with 1500/2000 grit sandpaper with a drop of TR3 polish. I wish I can get the same shine inside the crevices, but that would take a whole lot of patience even I don't have.

Besides the polishing, how do you all usually clean/wash your engines?
