Fuel Filter 'Quick Disconnect' question

Hi,

I am changing the Fuel Filter soon.
Instructions from Haynes and Volvospeed.com showed a Quick Disconnect.

1. What is a Quick Disconnect? Is it simply a clamp?
2. Is it better to replace the QD with a real hose clamp?

QD requires some force to remove the filter, but it is a good design and there is no need to replace with a clamp, as a matter of fact, you cannot replace it with a clamp. Don't be misled by the "quick" in the description. I just did mine, and I have 100% confidence in the design of the QD.
