Koni Sports Ride S70

Howdy all!

It the guy with the bad back again:) I have a ruptured disc and trying to smooth out the ride of my S70T5. Ended up getting some new H rated tires and that takes the intial harshness out of the bumps... was running MVX4 before.

I bought my volvo used with Koni Sports(Yellow adjustables) installed. I'm sure these add to the stiffness to the ride although I have set them to the softest setting.

My question is... will it soften up the ride a good bit if I replace these with non-sport/performance struts and shocks?... and if so which should I go with?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance guys!
Yo Han

Well I just recently replaced all 4 of my Bilstien Yellow shocks/struts with Monroe Sensa-tracs, and I am very happy with them. I have had the Bilstiens for about 20K miles and they have always been too hard for me especially over bumps, etc. The Monroe Sensa-tracs seem to hold the road just as well as the Bilstiens in turns but going over the bumps, etc., they are much more softer. I had all 4 installed with a 4 wheel alignment at Sears for $372, plus they have a rebate going on till the end of the month where Monroe will refund you the cost of the cheapest shock/strut you bought. Good luck and God Bless.
