V70 auto-open window problem V70-XC70 1998

Recently, my '98 V70 drivers side window auto-open feature has been acting up. When I fully depress the switch to open the window, it opens about 3/4 or so and stops. Any ideas on what the cause might be?

Usual causem is glass binding slightly inn the rubber guide channel. Try lubing the guide chanel with spray silicone.

Your solution seems to work. I simple sprayed silicone into the window channel near the bottom of the window and ran the window up and down a few times.

My 2000 S70 does the same. I thought it was normal (?)

Funny, I've been experiencing the same problem on my '98 S70. I'll be interested to see what responses you get. I plan to have mine checked next time I'm in for service.
