I have been looking at some books for the replacement of the fuel pump and they show two pumps in some places and if the pumps have failed then it was repair by replacing both pumps with one. Has anyone done this repair? Is there a retrofit kit available from Volvo? Any help on the matter would be great.

    I think the first year the 850 came out they tried two small pumps, then realized one large one in the tank was better. My '95 just has one large one in the tank. You can get a replacement from FCPGroton.com for about $200 for just the pump or $300 for the whole assembly.
