Mobile 1 Synthetic Question S70

I recently bought a 1998 S70 with a stick shift: great car! It has 78,000 miles. I normally buy used cars and then use Mobile 1 in them and then change the oil every 5K miles. Should I continue this trend with the S70 or stick with traditional oil (like original owner) and change every 3K miles. Thanks in advance!

Greg

Mobile 1 Synthetic Question S70

Didn't mention. If the car is a turbo, a good synthetic is highly recommended. The heat on the turbo bearing will fry the oil when the engine is shut off. Also, 5000 mile drain interval is not a bad idea.

Mobile 1 Synthetic Question S70

Either way you should be fine. Just because it is better for both the car and the envirnment, I like mobil1 with a longer change interval. If your driving is not real shot trip or all stop and go, you should be fine with mobil1 and a 7500 change interval. Mobil1 will not be broken down in 7500 miles and the contaminent level should be low as well in normal driving.
