All-Season a misnomer S70

In my opinion "All Season" tires should really be called "Three-Season" tires. They are marginally better than summer tires on snow or ice. Anyone driving in winter conditions should have snow tires on their car.

True. But what do you use when the snow is plowed off the streets hours after the snow stops falling? Few of us live in real snow belts where snow remains on the road for months. Us Volvo owners in Minnesota are farther north than you and snow covers the ground for about 100 days every year. We want softer compounds for below 0F(-20C) which lasts for about 3 weeks or so. We call these winter tires.
