I've got a 95 850 GLT that the ABS/TRAC lights come on when I start the car sometimes. It also forces me to hit the shift lock button to get out of park. If I wiggle the key it goes away, but I'd like to fix it before my wigglin' stops working. Thanks in advance to any advice.

bad electrical portion of the ignition switch - I had same problem - took about 20 minutes to replace - you can get this part at any of the Volvo parts sites on web

Thanks for all the advice, at this point I'm guessing its the electrical side in the ignition. Could someone please give me the link to bay 13 or email address. Bay13.com doesn't seem like its the right one.

I have a 98xc70 that had the same problem. ABS and tracks
lights coming on and off. Big annoyance knowing the ABS
isn't working when those lights are on..............
...had a mechanic friend run full diagnostic and couldn't
figure out what it was......
I Found ABS module rebuild service on ebay and would you know
it worked! No more problems..... Simple and fast ABS module
rebuild and the thing is like new. Worth a check out saved
us a ton of money..

1) bad electrical portion of the ignition switch, OR
2) bad ABS/TRACS module, OR
3) failure of the hydraulic block or the pump
