HI everybody and happy thanksgiving.i have a 93 850 non turbo with 123,000 miles automatic,when i am driving the car and i come to a stop both yellow and red lights for the oil start to flicker,and when i take off it's back to normal.oil level is good.i am thinking oil sending unit.what do you think?any help is appreciated.thankyou in advance and drive safely.charles.

Also what weight oil are you using? Higher mileage Volvos might need a slightly heavier oil, like 10w-40 or 20w-50. Run some engine flush through it before the next oil change to clean out the oil passages as well.

I saw the words oil flush. My recommendation is never never use a oil flush. My mechanic has replaced numerous engines due to this. Why.. the engine after you replace oil continues to remove build up deposits in the engine. Oil filters and oil pumps become clooged. I have personnaly seen 4 engines at his establishment ( including Nissan ,Toyota and US makes)that failed shortly after flushing. When the engine is disassembled it is always the same reason. Clogged systems.
