Springs V70-XC70

I will try to make myself better understood. I put in new springs all the way around the car, at the same time as i changed the shocks. It all came together fine, but the new springs behind are making LOUD squeeking noises and spring noises (like an old bed) when im driving over big bumps (like speed bumps). I can`t find nothing wrong with the springs... what could be causing the noises??
PS: I put in extra strenghtened springs behind. If that could be an issue...

Help is welcome. :-)

Christian

I had sqweaking problems with overload springs that I bought from IPD. Even after consulting with them and rotating the springs, sqweaking problems persisted. The spring was rubbing on the lower cradle (rear). I've since used the fcpgroton hd springs with no problem.

      Thanks!

I rotated the back springs today, and adjusted the lower cradle. It looked like the springs did not lie exactly correct in the cradle. Now the noise has dissapeared. It seems like the cradle is very sensetive when it comes to positioning of the spring. I hope the noise does not return, then i will change te springs completly. BUT so far so good.

      :-)

Is the upper shock mount ok? The metal plate breaks frequently at least on the turbo models. If it is non-Volvo springs, check if the coil diameter is identical to the original... maybe they wear against some part of the mounts?
