850 starting is not as fast a Japanese cars 850

My Volvo 850 turbo takes about 8-14 revolutions to start vs. my Nissan and Acura which start in 2-3 revs. They are all tuned up. is this normal?

My 97 T5 turns over almost instantly, the car has 115K miles now and it always has turned over that way. I'd be looking into my fuel and ignition components if it started any other way.

My 98 V70R starts fast. It's just the 850 Turbos. Old technology.

I'd agree with the others. My car is N/A and cranks over in 2 or 3 spins usually. However, my buddy has a twin turbo Toyota Supra and that thing has to crank 8 or 10 times to light up.

My NA 850 starts quicker than the Toyotas. Must be a turbo thing as mentioned on other post.

Yes, all turbos do this. The computer is checking things out during the start process. Also noted in the manual in the glove box.
