Hi,
I'm posting this to add my name as another reference for Victor Rocha. As noted in this and other forums, if your ABS and TRACS control warning lights start coming on intermittently, Victor Rocha is the person to contact.
His web pages accurately instruct you how to remove and replace the unit. I have relatively thin hands and was able to get the unit out of a turbo model wihout dismantling any peripheral devices. And Victor is very responsive. The savings is huge.
Here was my response:
Thanks for the prompt return. I installed the unit on Saturday, and no more error lights. Thanks again for the service and the savings.
I'm not sure I told you the mileage before, but since you seem to keep records, the car is a 1998 V70 GLT with 84K miles. It probably started to exhibit the problem around 80K miles and had all the symptoms as generally described, including the vibration (although rare) which I would say sounded like a ratcheting sound when you stepped on the brake.
