850 Radiator Fan Bearing... greasable?? 850

The radiator fan on my father's 95 850GLT is making squealing noises, and sounds like it's about to seize up any minute. Does anyone know if I can remove the fan and re-grease the bearings, or replace the bearings, or do I need to get a new fan??

Thanks!

Right. The motor is pretty much a sealed unit. You don't want to wait too long to replace it. Mine went up in alot of smoke without any fuses blowing. Sometimes they're on e-bay but you don't really know the condition. If you're going to keep the car a while and use the ac alot then a new one would be your best bet.

No they're not greasable. You can replace the whole unit in a few hours. The whole thing is about $190 : http://www.vlvworld.com/indexframe.html?850/Section_2_10.htm
