intermittent abs/tracs light

every once in a while my abs/tracs light comes on and stays on. after the car sits for a while (usually the next morning) the light is off and everything is fine. i changed and cleaned the contacts for the fuse and there is a lot of brake dust build up at the front rims. could it be a dirty sensor? if anyone has an idea please let me know. thanks.

If you have a 1996 or newer 850, most likely your ABS Control Unit has failed. All of them will eventually fail after they reach 80,000 miles or 5 years.
Reading the ABS codes costs about $125.00 at the dealer and about 95% of the time, the diagnosis is a defective ABS Control Unit.

Here's information I have on this subject.

Not knowing how many miles on your car or what year it is, it probably needs a new ABS module. Get it rebuilt by Vic, cheap and fast. If you leave it as is, you will wear out your rear brake pads very quickly. There is always a lot of dust from OEM pads.

Sounds like a faulty ABS control unit. Scan the fault codes and post them.
