Turning Noise V70-XC70 2001

I recently retired my '95 940 Wagon and picked up a 2001 V70 T5.
The last few days though, I am hearing sort of a grinding noise when I make turns right and sometimes left. It doesn't happen all the time. Just once in a while. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Thanks,
JTO

Your steering stops may need grease. I haven't done it with my '01, but that was usually the problem with my '98 and '95.

check your front disc pads. My 99 V70 pads were down to metal and you would never no it until turning---go figure

If the noise happens when you turn the steering wheel to the end, its normal. Mine joints needed greasing every 30,000 miles.

Probably the tires rubbing. Mine does it.
